The lenses are cut small and oval, sitting close to the eye the way frames did before everything got oversized. On a strong brow or a wide face that contrast works in your favor - the frame stays quiet and your face does the talking. It is a shape with history behind it and none of the bulk.

Gold Wire Construction
Fine ridged gold wire holds each lens and runs the bridge, keeping the whole front light enough that you stop noticing it. There is almost no frame in your peripheral vision, which is the advantage of building this thin. The ridging catches light along the top edge so the metal never looks plain.

Wood Temple Arms
Warm grain wood arms curve behind the ear and hold their grip without clamping. Solid dark lenses give full UV400 cover with no gradient to think about - straight shade, all day, in any light. Between the metal front and the wood back there is nothing on this frame that will crack in a jacket pocket.
