Oversized square lenses sit high on the brow and cover far more of your field of view than a standard frame, so low sun and oncoming headlights stop catching you from the side. The lens drops from the brow down past the cheekbone, so there is no bright strip of sky sneaking in under the frame when the sun is overhead. The blue tint kills the hard white glare coming off the hood without darkening the road ahead of you.
