Oversized The Way It Was Meant
The front is cut wide and deep so the lenses cover from brow to cheekbone the way the originals did. This is not a small frame scaled up. The proportions were drawn oversized from the start and a big frame only works when it is built at that scale.

Smoke Gray You Can See Through
The acetate is translucent rather than solid, so light passes through the corners and the pair sits lighter than the size suggests. Brushed silver plates on the temples break up the bulk. The gray reads warm in direct sun and close to black indoors.

Gradient Lenses For Full Sun
The tint runs dark across the top and lifts toward the bottom edge, so the brightest part of the sky gets cut while your near view stays usable. UV400 filtering covers the full lens either way. Thick rims hold each lens dead square so the fade stays level across your view.
